While most of life we tend to forget
Passing from one work day to the next
With our shoulder grinding to the wheel
And the sweat dripping from our bodies
There are those rare moments we come across
That etch themselves into our memories
Precious pearls in time, sweet gems to share
Of miracles crafted from heaven
Carefully reserved for the right moment
When we most need it and least expect it
We may sense that something is coming
But how powerful, we’ve no idea
Until we’re in the heart of the moment
Experiencing a fullness of joy
Far beyond the sweetness of honey
Causing tears to flow forth from the heart
Like when a lifelong friendship is forged
Or when a child comes out of the womb
It’s standing at the altar with a spouse
Or with a loved one reuniting
During these rare and glorious moments
All of time and all of creation
Pause for a moment to look down on us
Grateful we witnessed the touch of their hand
It’s when we feel that overwhelming love
And receive confirmation from above
That the cosmos are perfect and always in tune
Keenly aware of our every need
Working in meticulous harmony
To bring forth those precious treasures for us
All time seems to stop during these moments
As I take it all in, thanking the heavens above
