A Heavenly Parent waits for us
Separated for now we remain
The reunion a short time away
More learning and growth we still need
The parent must be in agony
And possess patience infinite
Knowing it was by His own choice
To begin this separation
Knowing we may not understand
And may pass through much suffering
That difficult trials lie ahead
Yet, for the best the decision was
More time together was not right
For we needed on our own to grow
But in all wisdom was it done
With the foresight of a Parent
While we struggle to learn and grow
And alone some days we may feel
Doubting at times to Whom we belong
Or feeling unloved, not good enough
Our Parent knows us intimately
And feels our suffering and pain
Yet, our Parent awaits faithfully
For the day of reunion with us
This time apart, a short moment is
And come it will the appointed day
When together again we will be
Our journey of learning now complete
When frustrated are we to the core
No matter how alone we may feel
Yet, still there is the assurance
That waiting for us is our Parent
We know our Parent, and He knows us
We feel our own divinity
Beyond the veil waiting patiently
Our loving parent stands to meet us
