Providence cheers on the sidelines
He’s the coach with the master plan
Orchestrating every move
Guiding every play I run
I can see Him waiting patiently
Peering down between the clouds
He anticipates what will come
He knows the challenges I’ll face
He understands my needs and wants
And tries to flood me with blessings
Beyond my imagination
If I’m but willing to receive
The only caveat is if
I follow His principles
The plays He has set for my life
To receive all that He has
He has a purpose for my life
A mission He hopes I’ll fulfill
For the benefit of His children
A stewardship He’s given me
The path is set up for success
I cannot fail with His guidelines
Whatever He may ask of me
He paves the path for attainment
In any project I complete
He brings about most of it
Outside of my own accord
Without my own assistance
Then why should I do anything
If He does everything for me?
Because He wouldn’t do anything
If I didn’t first do something
Where I fail, He intercedes
If I but give my life to Him
I feel His patience with my mistakes
His faith wills me to grow and learn
While I don’t know what happens next
Or how I’ll fulfill His assignments
I do know what He’s asked me to do
And I’m sure glad He’s on my side
