I interact with many souls
Every day I meet new people
But only every once in a while
Do I encounter a soul so deep
I hope with every person I meet
To connect with on a level profound
But scarcely comes the opportunity
When I find a soul who will dive with me
But the time does come now and again
When I can have my heart’s desire
And with another being I connect
In a fusion of heart, mind, and soul
I emerge a new man, deeply impacted
The experience forever engrained
Intricately inscribed in my heart
Laced with purpose and love’s energy
And though we move on parting our ways
The memory remains entrenched
And now my life course is altered
While my purpose comes rushing back to me
Love finds a way to course through my veins
Living anew what I had forgotten before
Happiness comes without any reason
Returning from its AWOL status
Thank the Heavens for souls so precious
For souls who intensely love
For souls as deep as the ocean
For souls connected with the Divine Source above
They remind me of who I am deep inside
They help me believe where I doubted before
They provide me with strength I forgot I had
My walls can’t help but come crashing down
How could I live my life without
These souls who sing the song of my heart
Who help me feel what others cannot
With whom I reach a depth I knew not?
They help me find what I’d been looking for
That which I thought I’d never find
With them I explore chambers uncharted
And the hidden hallways inside my heart
The doors had been locked and welded shut
But the key to entry appeared when they came
Their certainty and faith within themselves
Helped me to find the same faith in me
